Right here in Sebastopol, the heart of wine country, we have a gem where there are great female and male athletes ready to challenge you, and great mentors ready to help you reach your goals, whether you’re 8 or 80! We host 35 big events per year, including tournaments, leagues, community nights, Ragle Rookies, and more! We also offer court rentals for your own beach volleyball events.
Mike Smith

Coach Mike is an experienced beach coach who has worked for the AVP, is BCAP and CAP certified, and coached at the NCAA Division 1 Level at Cal until 2016, when he started a family and began teaching. Anyone who has met him knows his passion for growing the sport is infectious— he wants everyone to be as good as they can be!

Eric Smith
Vice President, Co-Founder
Eric has been playing volleyball with family and friends since he was a kid. Raised in Sonoma County, he is thrilled to be involved in bringing the great sport of beach volleyball to the North Bay. He has played in many competitive tournaments up and down the coast of California and has taught countless beginners how to play since his early 20s. With careers in helping at-risk youth and those most in need, he finds joy in seeing how volleyball brings together the community. Now, Eric is a proud father and local attorney.

Kathleen Willbanks
Treasurer, Co-Founder
Kathleen (Grandma Kate) Willbanks has served as finance manager to many fine organizations and is happy to be part of Ragle Beach Volleyball. She was on the first volleyball team at her high school (thanks to Title IX!) and went on to play in college, USVBA, and in many grass and sand doubles tournaments ‘back in the day’. She looks forward to the next generation of volleyball enthusiasts.
