The nonprofit aims to bring the sport to as many people as possible in Wine Country. Locals living in Sonoma County and the surrounding area benefit from having opportunities to play and learn a great sport nearly year-round. We keep costs as low as possible for our tournaments, clinics, leagues and lessons. For this reason, your donation is going to be the most important factor in raising funds!

In addition to offering programs, supplying equipment, and maintaining the courts the Nonprofit plans to renovate the two original courts at Ragle in 2026. Court 1&2 (closest to the tennis courts) were built about 20 years ago. The layers for drainage weren’t correctly installed, and the courts have been flooding every winter, as well as losing sand from runoff. These old courts flood, even with the slightest rain, and they’re not fun to play on during many days of the year. They require tilling every other month to keep from becoming compacted. After modernizing, courts 1&2 would not lose nearly as much sand, and would only require tilling every few years.

Our primary fundraising goal is to raise $25,000 for the materials to Modernize Courts 1&2. Sonoma County Regional Parks has agreed to install the materials free of charge. We aim to make courts 1&2 just like courts 3&4.

We’ll be reusing any materials we can, but included in the $25,000 purchase will be:

-Sand (enough to make the play areas 18″ deep and perimeter 12″ deep)

-Drainage Rock

-Perforated pipe

-The membrane to let the water run through to the drain lines but keep the sand on top, where we play!
